What is Choco Caramel Fusion Ice Cream?
It’s a luscious dessert that fuses the deep, intense flavor of chocolate with the sweet buttery notes of caramel. This ice cream has layers of flavor, swirls of homemade caramel, and bits of chocolate for an indulgent experience.


🧾 INGREDIENTS

🍦 Base Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🍫 Chocolate Component:

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped (or semi-sweet chocolate)

🍯 Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt (for salted caramel flavor – optional)

  • Chocolate chips or chunks
  • Caramel toffee bits
  • Crushed chocolate cookies

🧑‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS

🔸 Step 1: Prepare the Caramel Sauce

  1. Heat sugar in a dry saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly.
  2. Once sugar melts and turns amber, add butter and mix until melted.
  3. Slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring (it may bubble).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in a pinch of salt (if desired).
  5. Let it cool to room temperature and refrigerate.

🔸 Step 2: Prepare the Chocolate Ice Cream Base

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, salt, and cocoa powder. Heat gently.
  2. Add chopped dark chocolate and stir until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and cream.
  4. Let it cool, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight).

🔸 Step 3: Churn the Ice Cream

  1. Pour chilled chocolate mixture into your ice cream maker.
  2. Churn according to your machine’s instructions (usually 20–25 mins).

🔸 Step 4: Add the Caramel Fusion

  1. Once the ice cream is churned and semi-soft, layer it into a container:
    • Add a layer of chocolate ice cream
    • Drizzle caramel sauce generously
    • Repeat the layers 2–3 times and swirl lightly with a spoon for marbled effect
  2. Add optional chocolate chunks or toffee bits.

  • Cover and freeze for 4–6 hours until firm.
